Every class will have a semester exam at the end of each semester that counts as a test grade.  


Students may exempt these exams if they meet the following criteria:

  • 5 or less absences to the class for that semester (all absences except Guidance/School Related Absences)

  • Be passing the course - ISS and OSS assigned by an administrator will count as an absence.  Students can choose to take the exam, if they desire.  The cutoff date (grade and absences) is the Monday before the exam.  District Benchmarks can not be exempted.

Students who exempt the exam will be marked as a School Related Absence if they aren't present during the exam time.


The testing schedule is as follows.  Classes will run on a modified bell schedule:

Tuesday, December 12th: 7th Period Exam (1:20-3:05)

Wednesday, December 13th:


2nd Period Exam (8:00-9:50)
4th Period Exam (9:55-11:40)

Thursday, December 14th:


5th Period Exam (10:55-1:15)
6th Period Exam (1:20-3:05)

Friday, December 15th:


1st Period Exam (8:00-9:25)
3rd Period Exam (9:30-10:50)



The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Science is will be accepting applicants for VetCAMP2018 beginning December 1st.  This program is offered to rising high school juniors and seniors and rising college freshmen to evaluate their skills and competitiveness as future veterinarians, provide mentorship and help them experience veterinary medicine as an exciting career path. It’s a great experience and the students have a lot of fun while also learning about the profession.


VetCAMP2018 will be held June 17-23, 2018.  The cost of attending the program is $900 and covers lodging, meals, instruction and social activities. Financial assistance is available to students with demonstrated need. For more information regarding scholarship opportunities, please contact vetcamp@uga.edu once the application period has opened. You may also reach out to that email address with any general questions that they have regarding the program.
