A Trashy Relay
Beginning December 1st, National Honor Society is sponsoring a “Trashy Toilet Teacher Relay” in order to collect items for Safe Haven. This fun competition is designed to restock the shelves at Safe Haven, which are always depleted after the Thanksgiving holidays. The rules are simple: Coach Ward, Mr. Morris, Mr. McCombs, and Mrs. Salgado make up the first relay team, and will have toilet seats on their doors (unused, of course!) Students can donate items (canned goods, paper products, baby items, toothbrushes, etc...) to any of those four teachers. Once a teacher receives ten items, they will tag another teacher to receive their toilet seat, and the relay continues. Watch your favorite teacher's door, and bring your donated items to school to help win the relay, and to feed the needy for the holidays.

"Hoops for Hunger"
SHS Basketball hosted a "Hoops for Hunger" scrimmage game vs. Windsor Forest on Thursday, November 13, 2014. Fans received free admission to the game by bringing in a canned good to support the local food bank. Over 300 cans were collected at the gate and our players showed promise for a great season! A special thanks to the Lady Blue Devils basketball team and Head Coach Jeff Seier for coordinating the food drive!
