EGSC Correll Scholarship

The Correll Scholars Program recognizes and prepares exceptionally promising students as future community leaders in our region by awarding $5000 to each student.  We award 20 scholarships per year, with 10 being awarded to students in early December.

 

Eligibility requirements:

  • Students must attend the EGSC Swainsboro campus

  • No minimum high school GPA or test scores

  • Primary focus is leadership and service

Application Process:

  • Completion of EGSC Admissions Application and acceptance to EGSC

  • Completion of the online Correll Scholars Program Application

  • Submission of an essay addressing the topic “how will you use your education to transform your community? (1000-word essay)

March 15, 2019 NRAEF Scholarships Students, military servicemen and women and food service educators can apply for scholarship awards to pursue their dreams of becoming future leaders in the restaurant and food service industry. Awards can be used towards tuition and fees, books, room and board and other school-related expenses. Individuals can apply at any age, whether they're recent high-school graduates or adults looking to make a career change.

February 14, 2019 "We the Students" Essay Competition

Students submit a 500-800 word essay.  Students are to consider what role the government should play in monitoring internet content 

  • 1st Place – $5,000 and a scholarship to our 2018 Constitutional Academy in Washington, D.C.
  • Runners Up – Six prizes at $1,250 each.
  • Honorable Mentions – Eight prizes at $500 each.
February 6, 2019 Agricultural Scholarships Lots of scholarship opportunities for students interested in an agricultural related field.  Many of these do not require FFA membership.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship

This national program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home.  Recipients receive $10,000 renewable scholarships - up to $40,000 per student.

Ongoing Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation CKSF scholarship competitions consist of one or more quizzes with topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies. Scores are based on a combination of time and accuracy. Students with the highest scores at the end of the competition win. There are no essays or long applications to complete and a single CKSF registration is good from high school all the way through college and graduate school.
